Students in grades 1-6 who signed up for the H-BC volleyball camp will join in the festivities at tonight's volleyball game. Coach Gehrke got them pumped up during the school day. Camp starts Saturday morning.
Anyone headed to the game is asked to wear PINK for breast cancer.
H-BC celebrated Unity Day by wearing and sharing orange to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying.
Congratulations to our band members Tara, Tess, LeeAnna, and Lexi for being selected for the Augustana Band Festival on November 12-13. Concert is on November 13 at 6:30 PM at the Washington Pavilion.

Our HBC Jr. High Football season came to an end on Saturday. Great job players at the Red Rock Central Jamboree. Our boys were able to play against 3 different teams and end the season with some GREAT play! Thank you Coach Harnack and Coach Ellingson on a successful season!

Students cut and stained a small piece of wood/barnwood, created a design with finishing nails and used embroidery thread to create DIY art! Fifth graders kicked off their ancient civilizations unit with a STEM activity. Student groups had 40 minutes to build their very own "Great Pyramid of Giza" using 1,000 toothpicks and two bags of marshmallows! It was awesome to see their creative minds at work!!

17 HBC Secondary students attended Educators Rising Expo at U.S.F. today to explore the career of education. This expo is geared for students who may be interested in the career of teaching. Students were able to attend various sessions including topics of: Special Education, English Language Learners, Middle School Teaching and P is for Pirate - Teaching is a Treasure. Students had lunch on campus, took a campus tour and met with college professors. Great opportunity for our students to be college & career ready! #HBCCollegeCareerReady
