Our 7th and 8th grade students had a great day on their field trip last Friday! First, students visited the Scheels IcePlex where they learned the sport of curling and had the chance to try it out themselves.
Next, they traveled to Good Earth State Park to learn about the area’s rich Native American history and why it is considered one of the oldest sites of long-term human habitation in the United States. Students explored the park, learned about the Oneota people and enjoyed the beautiful outdoor scenery. It was a fun day filled with learning, teamwork, and new experiences! Thanks to our bus drivers and chaperones for making this trip possible & Mrs. Bass for planning!

Today we celebrated three incredible seniors at our Future Educator Signing Day! 🍎✏️
These students have shown kindness, leadership, and a true passion for working with kids throughout their high school years. From helping in elementary classrooms to making a positive impact on younger students through student council, they have already begun making a difference in the field of education. We are so proud of the example they set and cannot wait to see the impact they will make as future educators.
Congratulations on this exciting next step in your journey!

Last week our High School Student Council spent time at the elementary school for a mini retreat focused on positivity and kindness! ❤️
Students read Have You Filled a Bucket Today? with Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes, and shared The Energy Bus with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. After each story, students led conversation circles, fun activities and even got everyone up dancing! It was a great day of building connections, spreading encouragement, and reminding everyone of the importance of positivity. We are proud of our student leaders for making such a positive impact on our younger students!

Our 7th grade career class had an awesome opportunity this morning attending the Southwest MN CEO Trade Show!
We are especially proud of our 9 HBC students participating and showcasing their own businesses. It’s been amazing to see their hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills on display. We even had a CEO alumni present at the show!
Come out tonight from 5–7 p.m. at the Big Top Event Center in Luverne to support all of these students.
