Currently 7th & 8th students are learning about the education field pathway; students will learn about 14 career pathways by the time they are 9th graders. This week the 7th and 8th grade Career Readiness Classes heard from Mr. Kellenberger- Secondary Principal and Mr. Holthaus- Superintendent/Elementary Principal speak on their career journey in the Education field. The students learned about the requirements it takes to become a teacher, principal, and superintendent. Learning about the day to day, highs and lows, and overall impact the education field can have on people. Both Mr. Kellenberger and Mr. Holthaus encouraged students to have integrity, kindness, and determination in whatever career they choose for the future. #CareerReadiness #HBCLearns

On Wednesday, Oct. 22, our HBC Secondary Student Council had the opportunity to attend the Southwest Division Student Council Meeting at Lakeview High School!
We joined 11 schools with around 140 student leaders from across the region for a day filled with learning, leadership, and connection. Our students represented HBC well—sharing ideas, building friendships, and bringing back new inspiration for our own council and school community. We’re proud of our HBC Student Council members for the way they represented our school today. Your leadership, teamwork, and positive attitude stood out—well done!
Big thanks to Lakeview for hosting such a well-organized and fun event.
