Elementary students spent their Physical Education classes learning about bike safety. Thanks to Darin DeBoer and Walk! Bike! Fun!, students in grades 2-5 even hit the road to practice their new skills.

Great inquiry lesson in 6th Grade Social Studies with Ms. Hildebrandt - Students read about MN History and the Bradbury Brook Site near Mille Lacs Lake and applied their knowledge with a mini-archeology dig. Students learned how artifacts can tell us about the history of a location. #MNHistory #HBCLearning

Part 2 - HBC Juniors and Seniors got a little taste of post-secondary & careers at Talent Day 2021 hosted by SF Development Association. Students were able to hear from experts in various career fields, hear from Mayor TenHaken and other entrepreneurs! A beautiful day to be on campus, meet Cooper, eat lunch in the sun and learn more about colleges/career fields in the tri-state area! #CollegeCareerReady #HBCPride

HBC Juniors and Seniors went to Talent Day 2021 hosted by the Sioux Falls Development Foundation at USF. Students were able to choose a career module of their choice - health care, business/accounting/entrepreneur; arts/media/design or social sciences/education/criminal justice/psychology and learn more about careers/colleges/experts in that field. Mayor TenHaken was the keynote speaker - Aliyah won Sioux Falls Challenge ONE Coin as well! Friday Football Update - Good luck to our HBC Patriots Football Team as they travel to WWG (Westbrook) for an away game on Friday, Sept. 24th for a 7 PM kickoff. If are traveling to WWG, WWG Boosters are serving pulled pork sandwiches, chips, bars, water staring at 5:30 PM. One of the all-time favorite activities during homecoming week is... PATRIOT OLYMPICS! Grade levels compete against each other to win GOLD with fun events like - Hungry Hypo, the Mummy, Egg Roulette, Ballon Ride and much more! A lot of laughs, memories and school spirit!
