We are very pleased to announce that Sanford Luverne Clinic, H-BC school district, and the Luverne Area Community Foundation will be offering flu vaccines to all H-BC children enrolled ingrades K-12.

We will bill your insurance for the flu vaccine if you have coverage. However, through collaboration with the Luverne Area Community Foundation, all out-of-pocket and non-insured costs will be covered for school-aged children.

The in-school flu shot clinic will be held on

Wednesday, October 8, 2025.


To receive the flu shot, the attached consent form must be completed and returned to the school by Friday, October 3. For more information about this free flu shot clinic, email Lois Leenderts, RN, school nurse, at l.leenderts@isd671.net.

HBC Powderpuff Showdown - Monday Night Football!
The Class of 2027 Juniors pulled off an incredible victory over the 2026 Seniors in last night’s 2025 Homecoming Powderpuff Game! 🎉

It was a thrilling back-and-forth battle from start to finish, but the Juniors edged out the Seniors in a nail-biter, taking home the win 28–27. 👏

September is School Board Appreciation Month. We are thankful for our Hills-Beaver Creek Board of Education Members! Please make sure to thank them for their service!

HBC has been informed of the next possible date for moving into the new HBC Elementary- The week of November 24.
No school for preschool - grade 5 students on 11/24/25 & 11/25/25.
Grades 6-12 students HAVE school on those days. Thanks for your flexibility and understanding!

HBC 2025 Homecoming is HERE! September 15 - 19, 2025. Here are the Spirit-filled dress up days at both buildings - Elementary & Secondary. Secondary students - reminder to bring cash for Freedom Brew if you would like to order (afternoon 9/15).
