The H-BC Boys had a great showing in Mountain Lake on Thursday 4/23/26. They had to battle the weather conditions throughout the meet, with rain, wind, and a little lightning delay to add that to the mix. I am proud of how the boys stayed mentally tough and battled through the conditions and turned out some nice scores. I am really pleased to be sitting at the 4 spot in the Red Rock Conference right now. Cam Broesder led the way with a career best 83 finishing in a tie for the 5th place medal spot, highlighted by 4 birdies on the round. We have 6 guys that can all shoot in the low 90's and low 80's. I firmly believe these boys will continue to take it one day at a time and get a little bit better each day to prepare us for our next Conference meet this coming Thursday in Slayton. These guys are always out on the course and that is fun to see.

The girls had their first Red Rock Conference meet as a team. Abby Olson was a medalist finishing 5th overall shooting an impressive 94. Ella Sammons chipped in a solid score of 104. Norah Top was consistent all afternoon and had one hole where she had some out of bounds trouble that hurt her score or else she would have finished in the Top 25.
I am happy that we finally have 4 girls so that we can compete as a team. This was Makenzie Axness's first 18 hole meet. Not an easy thing to do as a 7th grader but I completely believe in her to improve in every meet in the near future. I was really proud of all of our girls' attitude and effort throughout this meet! I am excited to see us grow as a team from meet to meet.
