Help!  If you are able, please donate a package of store packaged candy to the H-BC Elementary School Fall Festival.  Please send the package to school by Wednesday, October 27.  Please, no items containing peanut nuts & no suckers.

HBC OPERATING Referendum:  Make sure to be informed of the upcoming Operating Referendum Election set for Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 8 am until 8 pm Voting locations:  Beaver Creek City Hall and Hills Legion.  Here is more information.  It is important you vote on this important matter!  Please contact Mr. Holthaus with any questions   -t.holthaus@isd671.net 

VOLLEYBALL CAMP:  Grades 1-6 Camp begins Saturday, October 23 in Hills and continues  October 30 and November 6th.    TONIGHT, Thursday, October 21, the Campers will join the H-BC Volleyball Teams at their games in Hills to kick off the Grades 1-6 Camp. 

H-BC NEWS ON KQAD 800 AM -  Did you know Mr. Holthaus and Mr. Kellenberger broadcast H-BC news & events on KQAD 800 AM Tuesday mornings at approximately 6:50?  Tune in for the latest news.  

After School Care - Drop Ins Welcome!    Peac is Patriot Enrichment After School Care.  Parents are welcome to enroll K-5 students for a day or set up a regular schedule.  Peac is open from 3:15pm to 5:30pm on all scheduled/full school days.  Kids attending Peac are having a great time and parents appreciate the convenience & of the program.   Daily, monthly, and yearly rates are available.  Please contact Tedra at t.voss@isd671.net or call the office 507-673-2541 extension 1100 to learn more.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS & PARAPROFESSIONALS WANTED:   H-BC is seeking qualified, professional Substitute Teachers & Substitute Paraprofessionals.   Substituting allows for a very flexible work schedule.  You choose the days you are interested in working.  

Substitutes work on a daily/temporary basis as a replacement for a full time staff member.

Substitute Teachers – $140 full day/$75 half day.  Individuals must hold a bachelor’s degree and a Minnesota Teachers license.  If no Teachers license, a four-year degree and obtain a short-call license from the Minnesota Department of Education.  

 Paraprofessional Substitutes -- Our Substitute Paraprofessionals work in the classroom under a Licensed Teacher.  Responsibilities may include one-to-one student guidance or assisting with classroom, lunchroom, and recess duties.

SNACKS & BIRTHDAY TREATS:  Milk break snacks are provided by the district again this year.  No snacks should be brought to school from home, with the exception of Students with a medical requirement.   At this time, birthday treats or snacks are also not allowed.  Parents may choose to bring a non food item for a birthday treat such as pencils, stickers ...

NUT AWARE SCHOOL: H-BC Elementary School is a peanut/tree nut allergy aware area.  There will be no classroom projects with peanut butter or peanut shells.  Please do not send any of these projects into the classroom with your child.  It is our hope that parents, who send a lunch from home for their child, CHOOSE NOT TO send foods containing peanut butter or nuts.

DAILY COVID SCREENING  Please remember to go through the health screener each day before sending your child/ren to school.
