H-BC Parents,

As the school year approaches, H-BC Schools are continuing to prepare for our new and returning students. This email contains all of the necessary instructions for student registration and getting the 2023-2024  school year started.  

Again, this year we will be collecting registration information through the district’s Student Information System-JMC-(directions and link provided below). The site allows us to securely collect information and parent permissions. Many of you have user ids and passwords. If you do not have a JMC user id and passcode, please inform either school office and they will get you set up. All students must be registered through this process before September 1. Thank you for your cooperation in completing the online registration process.

Bussing information will be sent directly to parents by USPS mail soon. Make sure to contact Transportation Director, Dalton Bass if you have busing questions 507-962-3240 x2102.

Wednesday, August 30th

  • Elementary (1-5) Open House 5:30-7:30pm

    • Grade 5 Band Open House is scheduled for September 11.  More information coming.

    • School picture sessions as well

  • Secondary (6-12) Open House 5:30-7:30pm 

    • 6th/7th/8th grade and new-to-district students & families meeting at 7:00-7:30 pm in gymnasium

 Tuesday, September 5th

  • First Day of School - Grades 1-12;  Secondary 8:00 am start - 3:18 pm end. Elementary 8:15 am start - 3:30 pm end.

  • Kindergarten Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences Scheduled time.

Wednesday, September 6th

  • First Day of School - Kindergarten

SCHOOL REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

For your convenience, the district utilizes a paperless registration process. Using the district’s Student Information System-- JMC Online Registration. Thank you for promptly taking the time to complete & submit all required information.

Please follow the directions on the included Back To School Registration Sheet carefully.

  • Only one primary parent/guardian is required to complete the full student registration process.

  •  Example: Some parents, who do not reside together, have requested separate passwords. Both parents may log in and review the student data. Only one parent is to complete the student registration portion. The second parent only needs to verify his or her own personal address/phone data.

  • It is important that all parents & students review and understand all the district policies.

  • These policies are necessary for a safe and secure learning environment.

  • All online registration and paper registration forms must be completed on or before September 1.

JMC ONLINE STUDENT REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS 2023-2024

To reduce frustration, registration success is achieved by filling out forms on a laptop or desktop computer!

This year, H-BC Schools will be utilizing our JMC Parent Portal to register students for the 2022-2023 school year. Registration must be completed by September 1.

Your username is parent’s last name. If you forgot your password, click on the forgot password link in JMC.

For families new to the HBC School District, if you have not received a password from the school, please call either school office 507-673-2541 (Elem) x1100 or 507-962-3240 (HS) x2100. Please leave a message, if you call after hours.

  1. Log into your JMC Parent Portal- Make sure you change the year to 2023-2024

  1. On the left side of the screen click Register for 2023-2024 then click Start/Continue the Registration Process (RED ARROW)

  • This process will bring you through a series of steps. Please read the welcome letter carefully and review helpful links.

  1. After you finish the initial registration process, there will be a series of steps to follow:

    1. Read and review all forms assigned to you and sign electronically.

  2. After you complete the registration process, a confirmation will be emailed to you.

  3. The items listed below the JMC Registration Dashboard also need to be completed.
