H-BC Families:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thank you all for your flexibility and understanding with all the scheduling changes we have had over the past few weeks!     Also, thanks to all that met with teachers during Parent/Teacher Conference time. 

Early Out & No School Days This Week:

  • Early Dismissal TODAY - Wednesday, November 24 - 12:45 pm

  • No School -Thursday & Friday, November 25 & 26

December Spirit Fridays:

   December  10th - Grinch day - wear green

               December  17th - Ugly Sweater 

               December  22nd - Christmas Character day (reindeer, elf, santa, etc.)

SHARE APPLICATIONS DUE TODAY

The SHARE program collects donations and distributes gifts of food, clothing and toys to Rock County residents who are in need during the holiday season.  All H-BC Students were given SHARE information to take home.   Applications must be postmarked by November 24, 2021.   See this link for the form: Rock County Share Information/Application

H-BC Elementary December Community Service Project - Students are encouraged to bring donations of canned goods or other non perishable food items.  The items will be donated to Rock County Share.  Classes will be awarded prizes based on the number of canned goods donated.   Prizes are as follows:

  • Class number - 5 pride points (25 students, 25 cans)

  • Double class number - Wear PJ’s to school

  • Triple class number - free choice game day in gym

  • Class with most cans - pizza party

NO POP IN LUNCHROOM-  Parents, please remember pop is not allowed in our lunchroom.  We strongly encourage milk or water with student  lunches.

COLD WEATHER - Please make sure your child/ren come to school equipped for colder weather.  All boots, hats, gloves, snow pants & coats should be clearly marked with the student’s name.   

WARM GLOVE DONATIONS WELCOME:  We want to make sure all our students have a pair of warm gloves. Donations are welcome.

  • Grades K, 1 and 2 Winter Concert, also 5th grade band will perform - December 13 - 7:00 pm

NUT AWARE SCHOOL: H-BC Elementary School is a peanut/tree nut allergy aware area.  There will be no classroom projects with peanut butter or peanut shells.  Please do not send any of these projects into the classroom with your child.  It is our hope that parents, who send a lunch from home for their child, CHOOSE NOT TO send foods containing peanut butter or nuts.

DAILY COVID SCREENING  Please remember to go through the health screener each day before sending your child/ren to school.

AM BUS CHANGES:  For morning bus changes please call the HBC  bus line--make sure to identify your student and the bus number they are riding:  507-962-3240 press 4.
