H-BC Families:

We appreciate our Veterans! Thank you to all that came out to the H-BC Schools and Community Veterans Day Program on November 11, 2021. We salute you! Thank you to Mrs. Oftedahl and all who helped coordinate this event.

BOOK FAIR:  The Elementary Book Fair will be open all next week in the Library.  Students can shop during their regular library time or Tuesday evening during Conferences.   Thanks for supporting the library. If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Moore at l.moore@isd671.net

AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK CELEBRATION STAR

H-BC Collection for Rock County Food Shelf:

NO POP IN LUNCHROOM-  Parents, please remember pop is not allowed in our lunchroom.  We strongly encourage milk or water with student  lunches.

COLD WEATHER - Please make sure your child/ren come to school equipped for colder weather.  All boots, hats, gloves, snow pants & coats should be clearly marked with the student’s name.   

GENTLY USED COATS:  As you look through your winter gear, the office is in need of a few gently used coats - sizes 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12.  Warm gloves are always welcome also.

Volleyball Camp - Thank you to Coaches Gehrke & Kruger, as well as the Varsity Volleyball Team, for leading this year's Volleyball Camp!   The students enjoyed a lot of learning, laughing and fun.

H-BC OPERATING REFERENDUM:  Thank you to all those that voted in the district special election this past Tuesday, November 2.  The Special Election included two questions.  Question one was for renewal of the current $897.15 this question passed.  Question two was to add an inflationary increase to the current referendum amount.  Question two also passed.  Also, Harley Fransman was elected to finish out a term from a previous board member’s resignation. The Operating Referendum is for a 10 year term.

TEACHER CONFERENCE SCHEDULER:  Our first night of conferences went well.  If you have not met with your child’s teacher, please sign up for November 16th.  https://hbc.onlinejmc.com/.  Make sure you are signing into the 21-22 school year. Call the school if you forgot your password.  Signing up with the classroom teacher is required, seeing other teachers (Art/PE/Music) is optional.   If you did click to see all the teachers and it was a mistake, please let the office know.

NUT AWARE SCHOOL: H-BC Elementary School is a peanut/tree nut allergy aware area.  There will be no classroom projects with peanut butter or peanut shells.  Please do not send any of these projects into the classroom with your child.  It is our hope that parents, who send a lunch from home for their child, CHOOSE NOT TO send foods containing peanut butter or nuts.

DAILY COVID SCREENING  Please remember to go through the health screener each day before sending your child/ren to school.
