H-BC Families:
Wow! We had a great homecoming week! I went around to all classrooms this week and had very good conversations with our students about bullying. I’m proud of our students for their knowledge and wanting to treat others as they would like to be treated. I also spoke to students about weapons and leaving their toys at home. Please have a discussion on these two topics with your child(ren). You will be glad you did.
HOMECOMING PARADE TODAY: The Homecoming Parade begins at 2:30 in Hills. The parade will be finished at approximately 3:00 pm. Teachers will follow the parent permission slips regarding expectations for each student following the parade.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED ON BUSSES: As you know, students need to wear a masks on the school bus. We need your assistance. Please have your child prepared with their mask in the AM and PM bus route. The district’s supply of Masks is quickly dwindling. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
HEALTH REMINDER: Make sure to screen your child everyday, prior to coming to school! Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
ACTION NEEDED: It is important that families, if you haven’t done so already, fill out the free and reduced lunch applications otherwise known as “Application for Educational Benefits”. Back to school online registration--Thanks to all the parents and families that completed their student online registration through JMC. It is an easy way for the school to collect the necessary information for school enrollment. If you have not yet completed registration for your student please do so as soon as possible. In most cases you are just missing the Signature piece. Log into www.hbc.onlinejmc.com. If you receive a message from the school stating all or a portion of your students registration is incomplete, please act promptly! Call the office with questions 507-673-2541
AM BUS CHANGES--For morning bus changes please call the HBC bus line--make sure to identify your student and the bus number they are riding: 507-962-3240 press 4.
AM Drop--If it’s raining or you don't see our school staff on the playground in the morning, please drop your student off at Door #1 on the North Side of the School.
School Lunch -- All H-BC Students will have free lunch. That is correct FREE! Here is the letter explaining this...Letter LINK. Also, know that the school lunch supply chain is suffering shortages and menu items may change more quickly than we’d like. We will keep you posted.
