MCA SCIENCE NEXT WEEK

This past week our 6/7/8/11 graders completed the MCA Math Assessments. Great work!  Results will be sent home in September 2026. Next week our 8th & 11th graders will be taking the MCA Science tests on Tuesday, May 5th and Wednesday, May 6th. Please make sure your student gets the rest they need.  Special breakfast for students on those days!  IMPORTANT: Students in Grades 8 and 10 need to have headphones with an Aux Cord next week for MCA testing - NO BLUETOOTH EARBUDS ALLOWED.

MIDTERM REPORT CARDS

A friendly reminder that Tuesday, April 28th was midterm.  Midterms for Quarter 4 were sent on Wednesday, April 29th.  Please check your email to see your student(s) progress.

Week One Team Results

The team earned a 6th place finish in Week One, with Detroit Lakes taking 1st place.

Notable Performances:

Blazen Haines – Tied for 12th place (7-way tie) in the Top 25 Boys

Cash Wilsey – Close behind in 27th place

Brooklynne Hubbard – Tied for 3rd place (3-way tie) in the Top 25 Girls

Karis Dwire – Tied for 10th place in the Top 25 Girls

This week, the following team members will compete at the Border Battle Tournament, which has grown to include 11 area schools. Tournament is Saturday at 10 a.m. at Garretson Sportsman's Club.

CEO TRADE SHOW

The CEO Trade Show will be held on Wednesday, May 6 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Big Top Event Center in Luverne. Come and celebrate the hard work our kids have put into their businesses this year!

UPCOMING EVENT FOR PARENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Southwest Health and Human Services is hosting HIPS (Hidden In Plain Sight), an interactive prevention tool designed to help adults identify signs of substance use and better understand current youth trends. This event supports broader prevention efforts by increasing awareness, strengthening protective factors, and helping communities respond early. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at the Big Top Tents & Events Center. Doors open @ 5:30 PM, Presentation @ 6:30PM.
