Dear HBC Elementary Families,
Another great week at H-BC Elementary School! We have another big week coming up! This next week we have our Grades 3-5 MN Comprehensive Assessment in Reading. The MCAs will happen on Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23. Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep prior to coming to school that day! We then have the MCA Math tests the following week on April 29 and April 30. Rounding off with the MCA Science Test for our fifth graders the following week! Thank you for partnering with us!
Congratulations to Mrs. Edmundson and our second graders on their successful performance of Charlottes Web Readers Theatre today! Well done!
MID QUARTER: We are almost to our mid quarter period. Thursday, April 23rd is the 4th quarter mid quarter point! We are gearing up for the end of the school year! Let’s make it great!
EMERGENCY WEATHER DRILL:Yesterday, Thursday, April 16th, all elementary school students and staff participated in the statewide Weather Emergency Drill. We all moved to the safety of the storm shelter. Students and staff did an excellent job! Way to go!
PTO FUNDRAISER PICK UP: Please remember to pick up your child’s PTO Fundraiser items on Tuesday, April, 21 from 3-6 pm…Will be able to enter directly into the commons at the commons door on the SE Side. DOOR O. Or use the main parking lot and enter through Door A.
ELEMENTARY ROBOTICS:Tuesday, April 28 Elementary Robotics begins. Meets from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays until May 14.
April National School Library Month. Thank you to Mrs. Moore for making our media centers essential learning and research hubs at H-BC! She is a champion for reading and literacy! Please join Mrs. Moore, and all the H-BC staff, as we wish to instill a love of reading in all children!
PARKING LOT SAFETY: For the safety of students, guests and staff, please drive cautiously in our parking lot. Speeds should be reduced to under 10 mph or less, while keeping a close eye out for pedestrians.
STUDENT DROP OFF & PICK UP: Whenever possible, please have your child/ren get in and out on the right side (closest to the curb) of your vehicle. The left side is the car/passing lane. All passing vehicles, PLEASE PROCEED SLOWLY.
