Dear H-BC Elementary Parents and Families,
As we head into a busy and exciting week at HBC Elementary, we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for! This Monday, March 2, we look forward to celebrating Read Across America Day and wrapping up our “I Love to Read” Month—reminder that March 2 is the final day for students to submit their reading logs and complete their challenges.
We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm our students have shown for reading! Looking ahead, our Grades 2-5 swimming unit begins March 16 and runs through March 20. This is always a fun and engaging experience for our students, and we appreciate your support in helping them come prepared each day (swimsuit and towel). Thank you for partnering with us—we are grateful for our wonderful HBC community!

Additional Parking: Reminder. When coming to the elementary school for an event. We have additional parking on the North side of the building (Playground side) Please take advantage of this. Thank you.
OLYMPIC FLAG READING CHALLENGE: MONDAY is the FINAL day for students to turn in their Olympic Reading Challenge Flag pages. Please remind your child, that is the FINAL day to get reading flags counted.
H-BC ELEMENTARY FINE ARTS NIGHT: Join Us, Monday, March 9, 7:00 pm at H-BC Elementary for 3,4 & 5 Choir, 5th grade Band and K-5 Art.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Band Students, please come to the band room at 6:50 PM (please no earlier), 3,4, & 5 Choir Students, please be in your assigned seat by 6:55 PМ. Students, please dress your best - this is a celebration of your hard work in music, band and art! Families may view the art projects before and after the program.
2026-27 Kindergarten Round Up:
Do you have a child who will attend Kindergarten next year? The H-BC Elementary School Kindergarten Round Up will be Friday, March 13. Plan ahead for this all day school experience for your child. Parents attend 8:15-9:15. Children who will be five on or before August 31, 2026, are invited! Call the Elementary Office if you would like a packet with all the information. (see the flyer below)

(repeat) SUMMER RECREATION REGISTRATION: It’s true, summer recreation planning is underway! Click on the links below to register your child/ren. The deadline for Coach Pitch, T-Ball, and Little Sluggers are due March 12th.
Coach Pitch: 1st and 2nd
T-Ball: PreK and K
Little Sluggers: Must be 3 years old by June 1st
