H-BC School Families:
I am hopeful that this email finds you and your family doing well! See the updates below as we end this 2019-2020 school year!
Packet Pickup/Drop Off: Packet Pickup and Drop continues...today 5/15 from 7 am-4 pm and Friday, May 22. End of year technology drop occurs on Tuesday, May 26 from 7 am - 4 pm, Wednesday, May 27 from 7 am - 4 pm and Thursday, May 28 from 7 am until Noon.--Teachers will communicate items that need to be turned back into the school. Families with Hills and Steen addresses continue to go to the High School in Hills. Families with Jasper, Luverne, Beaver Creek, and Valley Springs go drop at the Elementary School in Beaver Creek. Please return items assembled by the student in one grouping.
Technology/Textbooks and Other School Materials Return: School owned devices need to be returned on the 26th, 27th or 28th. Please log student out of device when turning devices into the school. Make sure to return the device and the charging cord/pack that was assigned to student as well.
School Lunch: School lunch ends on Thursday, May 28th. Thank you to Donna Burgers and Joan Johnson for their hard work and efforts preparing and delivering meals to finish the year. You are greatly appreciated!
School Daycare: School Daycare ends on Wednesday, May 27th. Thank you to all of our paraprofessionals for their work in the daycare! You have been such a great help and are so appreciated!

Summer Recreation: Most activities have been postponed. some canceled With the new MDE guidance, the district will be communicating (if not done so already) activities that will continue and those that will be cancelled. We will get that information out to you as soon as it is available. Thank you all for your patience and flexibility!
Behind the Wheel Driver's Training: Mrs. Lammert begins behind the wheel scheduling soon. The district needs to have a safety plan in place prior to offering behind the wheel. This will be happening soon. Thank you for your patience.
Elementary School PATRIOT WEEK: Don't forget next week is Patriot Week for our Elementary Students. See this link to see the plans for the week- https://5il.co/g4x6 I look forward to our Friday, May 22nd Liftoff via zoom. Look for the link sent in email from your classroom teacher. See you then!
Senior Commencement: Senior Commencement is set for 7 pm next week Friday, May 22. This is a private parking lot event. Seniors and their families have been invited to attend in a single vehicle. Attendees are to stay in their vehicles. Please honor the requests of the district as we follow the guidance sent forth by the MN Department of Education and the MN Department of Health. If individuals do not follow the MDE/MDH guidance the district will be forced to cancel the event. For those of you unable to attend the commencement know this: The Commencement is live streamed to the district's public channel 242 on Alliance Communications, also live streamed via FaceBook Live, the Commencement can also be heard on AM 800 KQAD. Mrs. Schilling and the district have worked hard to honor our 2020 Graduates as they deserve the recognition! It's all about the Seniors!
