Michaela Abels is the daughter of Eric and Melisa Abels. Michaela is an active participant in the music department at Hills - Beaver Creek as she enjoys singing and playing in the band. Along with her classes, Michaela was also a teacher's assistant in the library with Mrs. Moore as a senior. Next year, Michaela plans to attend college to major in elementary education. She plans to minor in early childhood education and child psychology! Michaela shared that she is most excited to meet new people and professors next year, but nervous to move away from home and the comfort of friends and family near.
Michaela was most looking forward to the morning of prom this year or the senior's last day! She is most grateful for the time this year spent with her friends in school before we had to close. A few of her favorite things include the max sticks school lunch and Patriot ball game in gym class. Something Michaela will never forget is getting a glove stuck in the commons rafters playing "volleyball" while waiting for the bus.
If you are searching for Michaela on the weekends, you may find her cleaning, reading, babysitting, or spending time outside.
Michaela would like to encourage incoming freshmen to enjoy where they are right now! High school goes by so fast that you will be a senior before you know it!
Ms. Abels, best wishes to you as you finish your senior year under Distance Learning circumstances and begin your undergrad work to become a teacher!
