Dear Families:
We are excited to announce a special opportunity on Wednesday, May 21, for our students to take a guided tour of the new Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary School located in Beaver Creek, currently under construction and scheduled to open in Fall 2025!
Students will bus with staff to the construction site for a brief, supervised tour of the building’s progress. This is a great way to build excitement, curiosity, and pride in our school community! This tour is only for Students and Staff…Others will be able to tour at the Open House in the FALL.
*Details and permission forms will be sent home. Please return them promptly to the classroom teacher.
TIME CAPSULE OPENING: The Time Capsule, found at the original secondary school in Hills, will be opened immediately following the10:30 am Friendship Days Parade in Hills on Saturday, June 14. Join Us on Main Street in Hills for the opening of the 1921 Time Capsule.

ENTREPRENEUR FAIR: Today was the big day, as our 5th grade students unveiled their business plan. The gym was abuzz with all the excitement as student shoppers came in to learn about and purchase products.
GIRLS ON THE RUN: Our GOTR participants participated in the year end 5K in Sioux Falls on Saturday, May 3. Great job girls and thank you to this year's volunteer coaches!
MINI RETREAT SESSIONS: On Thursday, May 8, K-5 students enjoyed mini retreats presented by the H-BC Secondary Student Council. Students read, played games, built friendships and discovered “what it means to be you”. Thank you to the Student Council for leading the sessions!
Robotics Camp: Our 4th & 5th grade students have been having a great time at the Tuesday/Thursday Spring Robotics. The program, led by Mazzi Moore, gives students the opportunity to explore STEM via the SPIKE Prime robotics curriculum.
