NO SCHOOL TODAY, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3. GO PATRIOTS!
PATRIOT FOOTBALL: Stay tuned, if the HBC patriots football team wins, today, Friday, November 3. We may have to adjust our Thursday, November 9 Elementary P/T Conference Schedule. We will keep you posted. November 9 is an early dismissal (12:45 Secondary and 1:00 for Elementary) day for students. The football team would play at 7:00 pm in Albert Lea, MN- November 9.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES: The Conference sign-up is now open for parents to schedule a conference. LINK Conferences begin at 4:00 pm Thursday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 14. This is a great opportunity for parents to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss student progress.

VETERANS DAY PROGRAM: The Community is invited to our Veteran’s Day Program on Friday, November 10, 9:00 AM, H-BC Secondary School in Hills. K-12 H-BC Students and Faculty will take part in this program honoring our veterans. Elementary students will be bussed to Hills. Students and Community are encouraged to wear red, white & blue. We would like to invite all of our Veterans to participate. Veterans please come at 8:30 AM.
Veterans Pictures Needed : For Veteran’s Day at HBC Schools this November, we will be creating a video honoring local veterans tied to the students and staff of HBC. This video will be presented at the program at 9 AM on November 10th. If you have a service picture of a veteran who you would like to be included in the slide show, please email their photo, name, military branch, years of service, relation to the H-BC student or staff member to k.untiedt@isd671.net by Friday, October 27. Thank you!
WRESTLING: The Hills Youth Wrestling Program, welcomes students 4 years old through 8th grade to practice each Monday and Thursday evening from 6:30-7:30 on the stage in the Hugo Goehle Gym. No fee to practice. Parents determine competition participation. Questions may be directed to: Jamie @ 605-496-2353

H-BC Elementary celebrates American Education Week November 13-17!
Pastries With Parents - Wednesday, November 15. Bring your child/ren to school and enjoy a pastry with them in the gym from 7:30-8:15.
Grandparent / Special Person’s Day - Friday, November 17. As a part of American Education Week, we are thankful again to have SECURITY SAVINGS BANK sponsor our Grandparent/Special Person's Day meal. This form Grandparents Day was sent home. In order for us to plan for guests, it is important that we know how many people we will be serving. Please return the rsvp portion of the form PROMPTLY so that we may plan accordingly.
MOBILE DENTAL CLINIC: Check out the information here at the bottom of this newsletter if you are interested in the mobile dental clinic. If interested in an appointment, call quickly as times fill up fast.

As a part of American Education Week, we are thankful again to have SECURITY SAVINGS BANK sponsor our Grandparent/Special Person's Day meal. In order for us to plan for guests, it is important that we know how many people we will be serving. Please respond below so that we may plan accordingly. Thank you for all of your cooperation and support of H-BC public schools. As a part of the day we have an optional time for grandparents to visit classrooms. Please, grandparents ONLY go to classrooms during this time.
