ELEMENTARY BUILDING EVACUATION DRILL: On Monday, October 23, 2023 H-BC Elementary will be practicing a building evacuation. Students will walk to the designated staff area with staff. We will do this in the afternoon. Good practice for all of us.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES: Be on the lookout for P/T Conference Sign Up to be sent out next week. Conferences are being held the evenings of Thursday, November 9 and November 14. This is a great opportunity for parents to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss student progress.
FALL FESTIVAL DONATIONS NEEDED: Donations of candy and/or small items for our fall festival are needed! Examples of small items: halloween themed pencils, stickers, spider rings, etc. NO CHOCOLATES OR ITEMS CONTAINING PEANUTS. Thank you for sharing your donations before Friday, October 27.
VETERANS DAY PROGRAM - The Community is invited to our Veteran’s Day Program on Friday, November 10th, 9:00 AM, H-BC Secondary School in Hills. K-12 H-BC Students and Faculty will take part in this program honoring our veterans. Elementary students will be bussed to Hills. Students and Community are encouraged to wear red, white & blue. We would like to invite all of our Veterans to participate. Veterans please come at 8:30 AM.
Veterans Pictures Needed For Veteran’s Day at HBC Schools this November, we will be creating a video honoring local veterans tied to the students and staff of HBC. This video will be presented at the program at 9:00 AM on November 10th. If you have a service picture of a veteran who you would like to be included in the slide show, please email their photo, name, military branch, years of service, relation to the HBC student or staff member to k.untiedt@isd671.net by Friday, October 27th. Thank you!
October is Bullying Prevention Month: Today, everyone was encouraged to wear ORANGE to recognize Bullying Prevention Month. Check out the great video created by our Student Council: https://photos.app.goo.gl/oB18Et68sad4EYSr6 Thank you Student Council!
FIRE SAFETY WEEK: Thank you to the Beaver Creek Firefighters who came to assist with the fire drill at H-BC Elementary School on Monday. Kindergarten Students rode on the fire truck & visited with the firefighters.
