H-BC Elementary Families:

As we approach our final week of the year, first and foremost, THANK YOU.  The respectful partnership we have between students, parents & faculty, creates a strong foundation for children to grow and learn.    We say it frequently and mean it … we have lots to be thankful for in our corner of south west Minnesota.  

EARLY DISMISSAL/LAST DAY:  Friday, May 26th is an Early Dismissal and the last Student Day of the 2022-2023 School year.  12:45 Secondary School and 1:00 pm Elementary School

PUPPY RELAYS: The Relays are underway! Taking your child home with you?   Please sign them out with their classroom teacher.

    

END OF THE YEAR CELEBRATION will happen on Friday, May 26th during the school day.   Students will have the opportunity to attend a number of seminars led by local professionals.  Thank you to all these volunteers for presenting at our event:

SUMMER BOOST PROGRAM:  Parents of Title One Students, please return your Summer Boost Program Registration for before next Wednesday, May 24.

SUMMER SWIMMING LESSONS:  H-BC is pleased to again partner with Luverne Aquatics & Fitness for summer swimming lessons.   This year's lessons will be June 19-29 – 8:45-9:25.  Directions for swimming and transportation information were sent home.  Forms were due back today!      The swim bus pick-up schedule is:       
Beaver Creek - Rauk’s Local Gas Station - 7:50 am      
Hills - Jr/Sr High School -   8:05 am      
Steen - City Park -    8:20 am

  • Monday, May 22 - Little Patriot Academy Graduation - 6:30 pm

  • Friday, May 26 - Last Student Day - 1:00 Elementary Dismissal

FREE MEALS:  Our fall registration will have details regarding free meals for all students for the 23-24 school year.  The Minnesota House passed a bill guaranteeing free lunch and breakfast to all Minnesota students, regardless of income requirements set by a federal program. 

5TH GRADE ENTREPRENEUR FAIR:  Mr. Gehrke & Mrs. Leuthold’s 5th grade students did a wonderful job hosting the Entrepreneur Fair!  Hopefully you’ve had a chance to talk to your child about the event.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE:  PEAC - Patriot Enrichment After School Care is available for “regulars” and “drop-ins”.   Call the office or email Mrs. Voss for more information: t.voss@isd671.net
