H-BC Elementary School Families:
We had another great week at H-BC Elementary School!
The New Norm
Students in Grades 1-5 will be seeing a presentation called A New Norm on Tuesday, October 13. Here is more information about the presentation and the presenter. All second graders will receive a book from the presentation as well!
THANK YOU!--You may have noticed that your child brought home a new book from school that they now own! Thanks to the Live Like Cat Foundation, a generous donation of books was made to H-BC Students. This kind donation was given to honor the memory of Caitlyn Carman, who died unexpectedly in 2018.
FLU Shot-- The previously scheduled Flu Shot has been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 14. Thank you for your flexibility!
AR Home Connect-- Students in grades 3-5 have been working on their AR goals since the second week of the year. They should currently be halfway to their quarter one goal. Did you know the Home Connect website allows you to view information about your child's progress? It also allows you to sign up to receive email notifications when they complete an activity or assessment at school. All you need is their AR login information, the same information they use to login at school. If you need that information, email Mrs. Moore at email@example.com and she will be happy to help.
You can log in to Home Connect from any computer with an Internet Connection and compatible browser. You use the same login your student uses when To log in to Home Connect Website: https://tinyurl.com/y5gl8lje
HOMECOMING WEEK OCTOBER 19-23: H-BC ELEMENTARY is celebrating homecoming week October 19-23. We will be hosting a drive through parade on Friday, October 23. The students will be stationary and cars drive through. Stay tuned for more information. The Student Council has planned theme days:

Fire Prevention Week
This past week was Fire Prevention Week! Many classrooms recognized this in many investigative ways. Stay safe! Make sure smoke detector batteries are working properly and practice an emergency evacuation with your child.
