Hello, Everyone! I am Shelly Fischer, the kindergarten teacher at Hills - Beaver Creek Elementary. This will be my 17th year of teaching with twelve of them in kindergarten. I grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa and received my education degree from the University of South Dakota. I live in Sioux Falls with my family - my husband, Nick and two children- Kenzie (10) and Lauren (7). I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing, swimming, and of course, teaching. My two daughters attend school here at HBC. They love it here and I love teaching here. Your community spirit and pride are one of the reasons why. My name is Michele Baker. I have taught at Hills-Beaver Creek Elementary for the past eleven years. I feel blessed to teach in such a great school district! I grew up on a farm between Hills and Beaver Creek and attended H-BC Elementary and High School. I received my Bachelor of Art degree in elementary and early childhood education from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I also have a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota.
